The United States Department of Agriculture is mandating that gender dysphoria be promoted and accommodated in schools
Local schools. Your child’s schools.
Well, they didn’t exactly use those words, but that’s the upshot.
Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack says the USDA is committed to "rooting out discrimination in any form — including discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity….We must recognize the vulnerability of the LGBTQI+ communities and provide them with an avenue to grieve any discrimination they face.”
As a result, state and local agencies, program operators and sponsors that receive funds from the USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) must investigate allegations of discrimination based on gender identity or sexual orientation. Those organizations must also update their non-discrimination policies and signage to include prohibitions against discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen an LGBTQI+ community. Maybe that’s what the Sec of Ag is aimed at optimizing, rather than, say, agricultural products. Anyway, school bathroom signage seems like an odd area of attention for a Cabinet level department that is supposed to keep the food chain in good working order.
Here is what the USDA policy means: Local schools that serve FNS meals must change their policies to require that boys and girls share the same bathrooms and are encouraged to cross-dress and pronoun-pick at will. Most local boards of ed, as we’ve seen the past couple of years, will whole-heartedly comply rather than resist.
See how this works? The Feds “give” stuff that taxpayers could pay for themselves if they wanted it, and if they weren’t overtaxed and impoverished by inflation. Then localities rely on that stuff. Then the Feds threaten to withhold that stuff if localities don’t abandon all morals and character and culture under the thumb of the Federal purser’s politically driven “policies.”
It would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and to be thrown into the sea than to cause one of these little ones to stumble. — Luke 17:2
We need to haunt local and state politicians, governors, members of Congress, and all corporations, associations and organizations, even churches, that are promoting this evil. It is being pushed onto our children through every possible avenue - not just by teachers’ associations and school boards.
