Saving America, One Back Yard at a Time
Adam has some thoughts: Why were we created? (Sounds like a metaphysical question, doesn't it?)
Heads Up
Next PRE meeting is scheduled for the 14th. Check with fellow patriots, the app, and the web site for location.
Why was Patriot Ripple Effect created?
A group of us saw what happened on January 6th. Back in Sioux Falls we had a get together to discuss it with friends and family. Afterward someone asked, “When’s the next meeting?”
As we found our purpose, it became clear how South Dakota is not the conservative powerhouse the rest of the country thinks we are. We aim to fix that. Ron DeSantis is able to do what he does because he has a staunchly conservative party in the House and Senate.
In short, we’re here to Save America, starting with our own back yard.
"There is no point in cutting off a person's nose and then giving them a rose to smell." — Indian proverb
I keep preaching relationship building because it’s an important tool for us to do this. We have to engage, and keep relationships with folks we disagree with for when a critical vote comes up. We also need to be a support network for those opposed to the Schoenbeck nexus of power. Merely by existing and being capable, we give confidence to those who have been quiet about their disdain for how the GOP is currently operating.
We need to BOTH hold people accountable AND build relationships — at the same time. Yes it sounds like they’re opposites. But reject that false dichotomy. Be both strong AND weak.
This chart is an example from Andy Crouch’s “Strong and Weak.” We’ve been trained by the world to see DICHOTOMY: only quadrants IV and II are available to us. But we can choose to have the assets of both opposing qualities: authority and vulnerability.
We can see how stepping forth in Vulnerable Authority allows us to engage, share, connect, and stand firm in truth. There we truly flourish.
If this sounds like a sermon, it’s because this battle is spiritual. We’ve been trained to lash out and withdraw by mainstream media and a social media system stacked against us.
We can only succeed of we’ve the spiritual mettle and moxie to handle operating fearlessly in Zone 1: hold people accountable AND build relationships.
