MEETING: Legislative Session -- the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Hear details on the 98th Legislative Session and the role PRE played in getting good legislation voted into law and danageous legislation killed.
When: Thursday, March 23
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Where: Thunder Road, 201 North Kiwanis Drive, Sioux Falls 57104
Interact with fellow Patriots and get a run down on the 98th South Dakota Legislative Session.
Hear a report on how PRE supported legislators to get a strong bill prohibiting mutilating sex change surgeries and hormone blockers for minors (Help Not Harm Bill HB 1080) through both houses and signed by Governor Noem. South Dakota is part of an elite group of states that enacted strong legislation to protect children from these harmful procedures.
Learn how PRE worked with other conservative groups to get Governor Noem to veto a bill that would set the stage for digital currency (HB1193). This veto gave South Dakota national recognition for being the first state to kill this type of bill based on the potential for government overreach and the erosion of personal freedoms.
Finally get the inside scoop on the role PRE played in getting a bill killed that would have stripped precinct committee people of their rights to vote for Lt Governor, Secretary of State, and Attorney General at the Convention (SB40).
We are looking forward to seeing you on Thursday. Kids, families, and college students are welcome!
